About the Artist

Israel Kabala (born 1984 in Yavne, Israel) is a multidisciplinary artist who integrates drawing, painting, sculpture, and installation in his artworks. His creative process revolves around the intersection of materiality and spirituality, image and language, utilizing layers of concealment that ultimately reveal new forms. Influenced by local landscapes and diverse life experiences, these elements resonate throughout his work.

 

His career has encompassed exhibitions at prominent cultural institutions such as the Petah Tikva Museum, Ashdod Art Museum, and Tel Aviv Museum of Art, as well as various independent galleries. His work has been critically acclaimed and reviewed by notable art critics including Yossi Sukari, Moran Shub and Gilad Meltzer.

 

Israel Kabala's artistic evolution reflects a profound influence from Moshe Gershuni, evident in his work's textual gestures and responses to the intricate socio-political landscape of Israel.
